[09:36] <uruk-hai> i mean there are not much difference between the two languages imo, it's much more a matter of taste

[09:42] <uruk-hai> yes... microsoft is pretty strange nowadays, a little schizophrenic i'd say. one they they open parts of .net and visual studio, the other they refuse to turn off telemetrics in their OS-s. like two sides of a coin, really :D

[09:54] <[md5]> Java is used a lot nowadays, not just for front-end stuff. It's also (mostly?) used for backend functionality, such as web services
