[02:58] <dreammaster> Heh. I've wondered similar myself on occasion, when trying to open up savegames from some of the really old unresolved bugs. ;P

[03:05] <dreammaster> Well, that's certainly possible. Sometimes, looking at some of the earliest code I wrote, I have to wonder what the heck I was doing.. :)
[03:17] <snover> its looking like a problem with the old sound save code. there is a saved sound object which has a totally blank state and it doesnt point to a valid VM object.
[03:19] <snover> so when the new accurate save code goes to clear a property on the VM object, it crashes

[05:23] <snover> the backup mount wasnt mounted again on vm2 because a dependent service werent running, so ive enabled that and set it to start on reboot and put in some basic security rules and fixed smartd to actually monitor the disks.
