[18:40] has anyone tried getting the warcraft game working with scummvm? [18:43] there is no legal way to acquire that software, so i would kindly refer you to the channel topic [18:47] (Also you have to realize that games "work" with ScummVM because somebody writes an engine for that - and in three days since even a legit game is released it's unlikely :) [18:47] snover, so have you finished GK2 support in the last three days? :P [18:48] its unlikely, you are always welcome to compile my working branch on your own if youd like to try something [18:49] but this game (albeit that it can not be aquired legally) is using an engine (composer) that scummvm has support for so that was why i was asking :) [18:50] "the warcraft game"? [18:51] http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/09/12/cancelled-blizzard-point-n-click-game-warcraft-adventures-lord-of-the-clans-leaks [18:51] Reedledoo: it wouldn't matter regardless. Even if it worked by pure luck, it would never get added to ScummVM, because it's simply a pirated copy in any case. Same for Space Quest 5 beta, that is also floating around. [18:53] oh wow [18:53] In case Blizzard sold it on GOG all of a sudden, then that would be a different case [18:59] yes that will probably never happen sadly [19:08] #scummvm: mode change '+o [vEX]' by ChanServ!ChanServ@services. [19:25] m_kiewitz: do you know offhand how i might break on a write to a global variable? i see there is bpw, but its only for objects i guess [19:26] (or wjp, or anyone :)) [19:26] no, there isn't [19:27] somehow global 1 (the game object) is set in torin but i cannot find the assignment in any of its scripts [19:28] isn't that a SCI standard? [19:28] yes, globals below 100 are system globals that are the same across games [19:28] or wait, is it set later? [19:28] no, i mean i think global 1 is set on game initialization by the engine [19:29] i searched for VAR_GLOBAL and didnt find where it would be set; in 0.HEP it is null (of course) [19:30] it is set on game initialisation as you say, but i havent found where exactly that is happening yet [19:32] <_sev> waltervn: so, what's the plan? [19:34] wait, isn't that warcraft game is based on composer engine?
