[16:18] <snover> i guess i am glad that this torinpat incompatibility with the french version of torin has forced me to look more closely at what is going on with this script crash. the heap is definitely incompatible with the script that was delivered on the disc, but also, this code for baseMethod seems quite broken. i am surprised that it has not been a problem before.

[21:12] <snover> ho hum. torin french pointsoft. released with the wrong heap for a script, which causes the heap to try to read method data from the wrong locations in the script file.

[21:23] <snover> i suspect this is not fixable without patching the heap, but lets see what happens if i add some adjustments to stop out-of-bounds reads&

[22:06] <tsoliman> m_kiewitz: after talking to waltervn, I updated the wiki - SQ6 version seems to be 1.11 in the SQ6CD not 2.00 (which is the root dir VERSION)

[22:08] <tsoliman> you can double check if you want (and I would be interested in /VERSION vs /SQ6CD/VERSION on the first CD)

[22:10] <waltervn> CD1 and CD2 contain the same VERSION file and I think it just reflects the collection as a whole

[22:12] <waltervn> VERSION and SIERRA.INF are the only files that don't fit in with the rest, date-wise, so I think the original VERSION was overwritten and it's actually 1.11 as the SQ6CD on CD1 indicates
[22:13] <tsoliman> m_kiewitz: you don't happen to own the 1CD "Space Quest Collector's Edition" also do you? if so, can you diff the contents against CD1 of "Space Quest Collection Series"?
