[07:27] <Akien> I was notified about a security issue to patch in ScummVM for Mageia, with upstream patch available for 2.0.0: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23126
[07:27] <Akien> Mageia 6 ships with 1.8.1 - is it safe to upgrade to 2.0.0 for current users of 1.8.1, or should I look into backporting the patch to the older release?

[07:44] <Akien> Unrelated, but when running `./configure` for 2.0.0, even with freetype2, libcurl and SDL_net installed, it says "no" for each of them, even though `./configure --help` mentions they are autodetected

[07:44] <Akien> Sounds like either the help hints or the auto logic is wrong
[07:45] <Akien> Help is wrong yes, the default is "no":

[07:49] <Akien> While I'm working on optimizing our package, is there a list of recommended build options for Linux distros? For example sdlnet, libcurl, freetype2 and cloud are all disabled by default. Is it because they're not meant for mainstream use, or should I turn them on manually?

[09:19] <criezy|Work> Akien: because the networking subsystem in ScummVM is not ready for release we disable it in the release branches (change the auto to no), but it looks like I forgot to also change the --help output.

[09:24] <criezy|Work> One thing to be aware of is that we switched the default for SDL from SDL 1.2 to SDL2 at some pointa and I don't remember if this was before or after version 1.8.1.
