[12:20] <somaen> Happily, in this case, 1 1/2 Ritter doesn't have any umlauts.

[12:24] <Raziel^> once you encounter them just add an e to the respective letters and you are fine

[12:25] <somaen> interestingly ae and oe map to norwegian letters too, with very similar pronounciation.
[12:25] <somaen> umlaut-u we simply use y for though :P
[12:25] <Raziel^> funnily my platforms samba implementation doesn't feature UTF-8 transcoding, so i have to change anything from umlauts to this workaround

[12:43] <somaen> The biggest speed improvement currently, is gained from using the opengl-backend
[12:44] <somaen> since the SDL backend displays in 16 bit, while the WME engine does all it's work in 32-bit

[12:50] <somaen> Well, there is code in the pipe for allowing 32 bit there
