[21:38] <snover> m_kiewitz: they usually start fine without detection, so it is possible that there are problems with 1.65c. if there were such a problem, i dont know offhand how the engine would quit without leaving any message in the console though. since i dont have access to that version of the game it is hard to say. i did check that 2.00b would start correctly without the detection table entries.
[21:45] <snover> m_kiewitz: there was an opcode added for games to call in to the scummvm save/load dialogue in place of the games SRDialog, and an opcode to restore kWait to SCI32 for games that were using spinloops. an opcode would probably not fix the shivers save game screenshots, but maybe we could take a screenshot just before entering the settings room, use that stored screenshot instead of an instant one when the game is saved, then dispose it when returning
